George’s optimism stems from the impressive performances of Manyo and Abdulrafiu, who have consistently demonstrated their skills and dedication to the sport. Their inclusion in the Super Eagles B team would not only be a testament to their hard work but also a boost to Rivers United’s reputation as a breeding ground for talented footballers.

As the selection process unfolds, Finidi George and the entire Rivers United family eagerly await the announcement of the final squad. With the CHAN qualifier against Ghana just around the corner, the stakes are high, and the excitement is palpable. Will Manyo and Abdulrafiu make the cut and represent Nigeria on the international stage? Only time will tell.

In a show of support for his players, Rivers United manager Finidi George has expressed his hopes that Stephen Manyo and Taiwo Abdulrafiu will be selected for the Super Eagles B team. The duo’s absence was felt in the team’s 2-1 victory over Kwara United in the league, and George is eager to see them represent Nigeria on the international stage.

George revealed that he had spoken with both players, offering words of encouragement as they vie for a spot in the national team. “I wished them well and expressed my hope that they will make the final list for the game,” George told Rivers United Media.

While acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding their selection, George emphasized that the team will welcome them back with open arms if they fail to make the cut. “If not, we will see if we can have them back, but we will wait and hear from the federation,” he added.

As the Super Eagles B team prepares to face Ghana in the CHAN qualifier, Finidi George and the entire Rivers United family remain optimistic about the prospects of Manyo and Abdulrafiu. Their selection would not only be a testament to their individual talents but also a source of pride for the team and its fans.
