Governor Fubara Highlights Four Months of Progress in Rivers State, Promises Continued Infrastructure Development

Governor Similanayi Fubara of Rivers State has revealed that he began making gubernatorial decisions in February 2024. Speaking on Tuesday at the Egbeda Community Secondary School field, the site for the inauguration of several internal road projects in Emohua Local Government Area, Fubara emphasized that the visible accomplishments were the results of just four months of work.

The event was attended by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who inaugurated the projects. Fubara highlighted the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the projects, underscoring his commitment to good governance and service delivery.

“We are just beginning, but I assure you of more focused attention. If we have achieved this much in four months and received such applause, imagine what we will accomplish in one or two years. Rivers State will experience a level of governance different from the norm,” Fubara stated.

He explained that the full implementation of governance began in February 2024, marking the point when substantial decisions and actions commenced. Fubara expressed pride in the positive feedback from the public, emphasizing the administration’s dedication to bringing governance and service delivery to the people in a timely and cost-effective manner.

“All our activities are documented in my white paper. There is no room for manipulation. I keep thorough records of all my actions and approvals, which are available for review anytime,” he said, stressing the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.

Fubara assured that his administration would continue to implement projects that directly benefit the people and enhance their quality of life. He pointed out that the Egbeda Internal Roads Project was completed to address both the community’s happiness and the recurring flooding issues in the area.

Acknowledging the public’s support before, during, and after the elections, Fubara noted that his administration is committed to delivering the dividends of democracy, which include infrastructure projects and social services.

Governor Oborevwori, who performed the inauguration, praised Fubara’s commitment to infrastructure development. He noted that the Egbeda road project is a testament to the Rivers State Government’s promise of sustainable infrastructure growth.

“This road project in Egbeda is a true reflection of the Rivers State Government’s dedication to fulfilling its promise of sustainable infrastructure development. It is reassuring that these all-season roads will economically empower not just the people of Egbeda, but the entire Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State,” Oborevwori remarked.
