LANDMARK AFRICA REFUNDS CUSTOMERS FOLLOWING DEMOLITION FOR COASTAL HIGHWAY

The management of Landmark Africa says it has started issuing refunds to customers impacted by the swift destruction of its properties by the Federal Government.

At exactly 8:29 a.m. Friday, the Landmark Africa X account issued a statement assuring customers refunds are being facilitated through the Landmark Citizen App even offering Google doc forms to reduce hassle.

Even though the parent company of the resort beach acknowledged the patience and support of their customers, the management advised that completion of the refund process may be delayed due to the sheer volume of requests.

“Dear Landmark Citizens, we would like to assure you all that we have started issuing refunds to those who requested a refund of their money on the Landmark Citizen App. Please be patient with us, due to the volume of requests, this process will take some time. Be rest assured that all refund requests will be processed,” the statement read.

Some well-meaning customers have taken to Twitter to share supportive sentiments including advice to move to a location that’s pro-business.

Meanwhile, David Umahi, Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi state has rationalized the demolition, citing that the Landmark center encroached upon the Federal Government’s right-of-way.

Remember that a portion of Landmark Beach, Breeze Beach Club, Mami Chulaon, and others around Victoria Island, Lagos, was demolished on Monday to accommodate the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.
