Vigilante group apprehends suspected tricycle thief In Rivers

A suspected tricycle thief identified as Ade has been arrested by Diobu vigilante, in the Port Harcourt local government area of Rivers State.

Speaking on the incident, the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo Community, Diobu, Godstime Ihunwo, disclosed that the tricycle was stolen from one Kingsley Okorie, who had earlier lodged a complaint in their office of his missing keke on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his residence.

According to Ihunwo, during their routine patrol and search, the stolen tricycle was seen where it was hidden at a filling station located at Obaziolu/Ikwerre road, Mile 3 Diobu.

The Chief security officer said they laid ambush and apprehended the suspect who came to drive the tricycle that early morning.

He disclosed further that the tricycle and the suspect had been handed over to Nkpolu Police Division, Diobu, Port Harcourt.
