Youths urge military to join police in arresting killers of Rivers DPO

By Brave Dickson

The youths of the Ahoada axis of Rivers State have urged the military to support the efforts of the police in bringing all the killers of SP Bako Angbashim to book.

Angbashim was a Divisional Police Officer, serving in the Ahoada Division before he was captured and killed by suspected cultists.

While commending the efforts of the police in hunting down the killers of the DPO, the
Public Relations Officer of Igbu Youth Congress in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ekeakita, Hector Chinem told our correspondent that the support of the military is needed to quickly apprehend the remaining fleeing killers.

“Based on the efforts of the Nigerian police, I will say they have done perfectly well in making sure that they arrest some of the perpetrators and the killers of late SP Bako Angbashim.

“I also want to recommend that the Nigerian Army, Air Force, and Navy should also put their hands in helping the police because if the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force can come on board, I believe that these bloodthirsty guys would be apprehended in less than no time. This is my kind opinion,” Chinem said.

Recall that recently, the Nigerian Police interrogated one of the gang members involved in the killing of SP Angbashim in Ahoada East LGA of the state.

The suspect, whose name could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, had confessed to killing the slain DPO in a recent video on social media.

In the video, his both hands were tied at his back with a tyre placed on him, and was about to be lynched by the youths of the area before the police intercepted him.
