Nigeria Army to synergize with NSCDC in the fight against Oil theft in Niger Delta

The General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, Major General O.O OLOYEDE says the Nigerian Army is ready to synergize with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Rivers State Command in tackling insecurity and all activities that threaten the survival and peaceful coexistence of the good people of Rivers State.

The GOC of Six Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, Major General O.O OLOYEDE said this while receiving the new NSCDC Rivers State Commandant Michael Besong Ogar during a courtesy call at Bori Camp.

Major General O.O OLOYEDE said Inter-Agency collaborations void of rivalry and conflict of interests is a fundamental tool in tackling insecurity across the Nation.

Gen. Oloyede maintained that the 6 Division Nigerian Army would continue to carry out joint operations with the NSCDC Rivers State Command in order to actualize her statutory mandate and savage the Nation from Vandals, Oil thieves, and illegal oil dealers, and economic saboteurs.

In his comment, the Commandant of NSCDC Rivers State Command, Michael Besong Ogar lauded the Nigerian Army for their unflinching support in the Training and Re-training of the Corps personnel.

Commandant Ogar lauded the Nigerian Army for the continuous unflinching support most especially in the Training and Re-training of the Corps personnel, organizing Civil-Military Interactions as a non-kinetic approach to tackling insecurity as well as leading the war against insurgency in the nation.

Ogar noted that the NSCDC over time has achieved tremendous successes through effective collaborations and support from the Nigerian Army stating that the need for stronger relationships through Intelligence sharing and cooperation amongst Sister Agencies would enhance more achievable and meaningful results.

He said the Civil-Military Interactions serves as a non-kinetic approach in tackling insecurity as well as leading the war against insurgency in the nation.

Michael Besong Ogar noted that the NSCDC has achieved tremendous successes through effective collaborations and support from the Nigerian Army.
