One Stanley Uba has accused the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the 2023 Rivers State House of Assembly election, IKwerre Constituency, Prince Lemchi Nyeche, of allegedly beating him up with thugs for demanding his debt.

In an interview with our correspondent, the victim narrated that he went to his house of Nyeche to demand his balance from the painting job he did on Nyeche’s two-story building, only for Nyeche to invite thugs who held him down while Nyeche flogged him with a machete and mercilessly beat him up.

He disclosed that it took the intervention of three passers-by to rescue him from Nyeche and his thugs.

The victim said he could not go to the Police station immediately because the incident coincided with his father’s death but immediately went to the Police station when he came back from his father’s burial.

Uba revealed that Kala Police Division invited Nyeche but after taking his statement, the Police refused to go to the scene of the crime to interview possible witnesses.

He, however, called on the Commissioner of Police, CP Friday Eboka to intervene in the matter.
