River State Governor, Nyesome Wike has vowed to take back power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
Wike, who visited the former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Olabode George, on Sunday insisted that the current power being enjoyed by the APC belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Presidential hopeful was in the company of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswan, the National Vice Chairman of the PDP, South-West, Soji Adagunodo, sought to be given the opportunity to rule the country, noting that the country required a focused leader.
According to Wike, “I can tell you I have the courage and nobody to be afraid of and I have the capacity to make things better for this country.
“What I’m going to do is we are going to take back the power, we are not begging, they will be ready and we are ready, the power belongs to us and we must go and take it back”
In his remarks, Chief George noted that Wike possessed the required to courage, youthful strength and resourcefulness, to lead the country.
“We need a bright young person; we need someone that can take us out of this doldrums.
“There will be a renewed life, we must do what is proper, we are not going to be defeated, the public is waiting for us and by the grace of God he will take us there,” he said.
