FIDA moves to end bias against women in Rivers

Brave Dickson

The International Federation of Women Lawyers in Rivers State has taken bold steps to end all forms of bias against women in the state.

The state chairperson of FIDA, Adata Bio-Briggs disclosed this to our correspondent ahead of the March 8, International Women’s Day Celebration.

The state chairperson urged women to strongly stand against any form of bias against them in their communities, workplaces and schools.

She said: “This year’s theme; ‘Break The Bias’ asks us all to take action, putting the focus on dismantling stereotypes and fighting discrimination.

“Together we can forge women’s equality.

“Collectively and individually we can all #BreakThe Bias.

We are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.

“We can break the bias in our communities.

“We can break the bias in our workplaces.

“We can break the bias in our schools, colleges and universities.

“Together, we can all break the bias – on International Women’s Day (IWD) and beyond.”
