Ayade missing as South South governors meet in Port Harcourt

Five out of the six governors of the South-South geo-political zone have arrived at Rivers State Government House, for a crucial meeting.

The agenda of the meeting is yet to be disclosed. However, sources close to the government house said, the top issues to be discussed may be the zoning of the presidency to the south in 2023, the Value Added Tax (VAT) controversies among others.

The first governor to arrive was Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, followed by Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Emmanuel Udom (Akwa-Ibom) and Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.

The Cross Rivers State governor Ben Ayade is yet to arrive but there are speculations that he may not attend the meeting due to his recent defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
