Anambra, Delta agree to end impasse at Niger Bridge

The Anambra and Delta State governments have agreed to work together to ensure the free flow of traffic on the River Niger bridge.

This comes days after Anambra State shut its own end of the bridge by building an iron gate, blocking the free flow of traffic.

The decision was reached at a meeting between government officials of both states at the Asaba end of the bridge on Wednesday.

While briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Secretaries to both State Governments disclosed that Delta and Anambra decided to work together on the enforcement of the lockdown.

Both SSGs disclosed that the two states have agreed that non-essential trucks should be turned back in order to allow the free flow of traffic for essential people, goods, and services.
