The Delta State Government has disclosed that it has commenced an active case search in six Local Government Areas in a bid to check community transmission of #COVID19 in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, disclosed this in Asaba during a news briefing by the Technical Committee on #COVID19 Response in the state on Monday.
Dr. Ononye commended the health workers for their tireless efforts in the fight against #COVID19 and disclosed that the State Government has ensured that over 2,557 health workers in the state have been provided with life insurance— in order to motivate them.
”In view of the fact that there is evidence of community transmission, we have begun active case searches in six LGAs. These are: Uvwie, Udu, Warri South, Ughelli South, Okpe, Oshimili South and Oshimili North — with an emphasis on 19 wards,” Dr. Ononye said.
