Stop scooping products from fallen tankers

A tanker fully loaded with diesel also know as AGO on Thursday fell on the Obiri IKwerre Flyover, in Obio Akpor local government area.

Our reporter, Tina Amanda, who was at the scene said some residents of the area immediately seized the opportunity to scoop the petroleum product with buckets and containers.

Some eyewitness who spoke to our reporter condemned the act of Nigerians always scooping petroleum products, even at the risk of their lives.

They expressed worries that the continuous act of scooping petroleum product by people is as a result of the poverty of the mind, which can eventually lead to their death.

They advised people to desist from the dangerous act while urging people to run away from such scenes immediately it occurs, rather than take advantage of the situation to risk their lives.

They, however, called on the authority concerned to remove the tanker from the road, in order not to obstruct free movement of vehicles.
