Four perish in ghastly car accident in Port Harcourt

Four persons have reportedly died in a fatal accident at the early hours of Monday morning in Port Harcourt.

The accident occured at the Chinda bus top at Mile 4 around 5 am.

Eyewitnesses said the occupants of the navy blue Honda car dressed like they were returning from a party when the vehicle veered off the road and tumbled severally.

According to an eyewitness, “We heard the sound of the crash at about 5 am. When we came out, we saw five persons lying in the pool of their blood.

“They were taken away but the people who evacuated them said they had died before getting to the hospital.

“No one knows who they are yet but with their phones, they would be able to contact their families”

She said the matter was reported to the police while the federal road safety corps personnel in charge of the area were also contacted.

Our correspondent reports that the wreckage of the vehicle caused mild traffic along the road in the morning as people gathered to inspect the vehicle which was almost ripped in half.
