NOA commends success of Operation Sting in combating crime along East-West Road

The State Director, National Orientation Agency Rivers State, has reiterated the willingness of the Agency to work with other stakeholders towards entrenching peace and development in the State.

The State Director, Barr. Young Ayotamuno made this known while receiving a team from an international Non-governmental Organization (NGO) “Search for Common Ground” in his office in Port Harcourt.

While commending the Advocacy of the NGO, the State Director also enjoined it not to rest on its oars, but broaden the frontiers of its engagement with the people and communities to mitigate the impact of, and ultimately end violent conflicts.

Barr. Young also used the opportunity to commend the recent successes of the newly launched security architecture ‘Operation Sting’ in the State, especially in combating criminality meted out to travelers on the East-West Road axis of the State.

In the same vein, Barr. Ayotamuno called on all stakeholders and citizens alike to embrace dialogue, jettison violence and cooperate with security agencies to prevent crime and arrest criminals.

Earlier the leader of the delegation and Head of office of the “Search for common Grounds” Mr. Borvel Paago informed the State Director that they were in the office to seek collaboration with the Agency on areas to further strengthen peaceful co-existence and peace building co-existence in Rivers State.
