Bill for establishment of University of Oil and Gas Bonny gets first reading


A bill seeking to upgrade the Federal Oil and Gas Polythenic Bonny into a Federal University of Oil and Gas has been read for the first time.

The bill sponsored by Randolph Iwo Oruene Brown, Member representing Bonny/Degema Federal Constituency in House of Representatives.

The deputy speaker of the house, Yusuf Sulaiman Lasun, who presided over Thursday’s plenary instructed the clerk of the house to table the bill before the house.

Hon Brown said that the University when upgraded, will equip students with the necessary manpower to execute oil and gas jobs in the region.
