Labour force not divided in Rivers State – Chairman

Chairman United Labour Force, ULC Rivers State Chapter, Comrade Alex Agwanwor, says the labour force is not divided despite their differences.

Comrade Agwanwor who is also the National Treasurer Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers NUPENG, told our reporter Tina Amanda that coming together as one union is for the interest of the entire Nigerian workers.

According to him, the labour center differences is not important, adding that the interest is very common as fighting for the general welfare of workers is Paramount.

He noted that doing it jointly is also to show solidarity in the labour union of Rivers State and to pass a message to employers of labour that the union is not divided.

He however assured the labour work force in the state that the union will continue to protect, defend and ensure they get their benefits, while advising them to always be committed in the discharge of their primary assignments.

On his part, State Organising Secretary National Union of Electricity Employee, Comrade Innocent Lord-Douglas, said the union is working hard to ensure that the 3 arms in electricity sector which is the generation, transmission and distribution work efficiently together to serve the populace better.
