Malaria Day: Rivers ministry of health takes sensitization to mosques

As part of the activities to mark this year’s Malaria Eradication Program by the Rivers State Ministry of Health, a team of doctors and other health workers on Friday, visited Central Mosque at Victoria street Port Harcourt, to sensitize Muslims faithful on how to help eradicate malaria and to also distribute Malaria treated nets to them.

Alhaji Dangorede, the chief imam of mosque 15/16 in Victoria street appreciated the state government for extending their activities to his branch. He promised to educate all his members on how to use the mosquito treated net.

He used the medium to thank Rivers State government for providing mosquito nets for his members. He also wished the Wike led administration a peaceful reign.

Also, Taofik a worshipper at the 15/16 mosque at Victoria street, appreciated the state government for providing mosquito nets to them.

He said ” using mosquito net is good because it is another way of preventing one from being bitten by mosquito”

He used the medium to encourage others to use mosquito nets adding that “by ensuring the use of mosquitoes net, it will help reduce the number of persons being infected with malaria, even without the government orientation on measures to prevent malaria ”
