There are heavy shootings ongoing in both Akoku-Toru and Bonny Local Government Areas of Rivers State.
In Akoku-Toru, soldiers invaded the area, shooting sporadically in the air in a bid to disperse agitated voters.
Several residents were injured in the incident with no reported deaths.
At Bonny, voting is yet to take place in some polling units in the Finnima area as gunmen invaded the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the area to stop officials of the commission from commencing the exercise.
Also, in Ogbakiri, Emohua Local Government Area, hoodlums invaded a polling unit and disrupted voting process.
