INEC warns against recruitment of staff in Rivers State

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Rivers state has warned the public on fake recruitment of ad-hoc-staff for the 2019 general election.

Resident Electoral Commissioner, Obo Effanga, who disclosed this in a press release, said the public should beware of some fraudulent persons claiming to be involved in the recruitment of ad-hoc staff to serve in any capacity during the election.

According to him, INEC does not and will not request any prospective ad-hoc staff to pay any money in the course of shortlisting, recruitment, training, or deployment.

Effanga stressed further that INEC will maintain the guidelines for recruitment of ad-hoc staff which is sourcing prospective personnel from known public institutions while advising members of the public to report any such request made to INEC offices.
