Rivers State Government asks Contractor to stop work over security threats.

The Rivers state Government has asked the contractor handling the construction of class room blocks in Ula-Upata in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state, to stop work over alleged threats by youths of the community.

The Rivers state commissioner for Education, Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, in a statement said that the directive became necessary, due to threat to lives of workers who are demanding money from contractors handling the construction of the class room blocks in Ula-Upata.

He also appealed to communities to always cooperate with contractors handling Government projects in the state.
