Rivers State LG Election Appeal Tribunal Orders Substituted Service Effected On Chairman

The Rivers State Local Government Election Appeal Tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt, has ordered Hon. Luke Gospel Luke to serve his originating processes, to Paul Lawrence Paul, the chairman of Andoni LGA.

The Justice S. C Amadi-headed tribunal gave this order on Monday following an ex parte application filed by the petitioner’s counsel, P. W. Ekwueme Esq., and C.F.L. Orikoha, for substituted service.

The petitioners had prayed the court to grant them the leave to serve the 1st Respondent, Hon. Paul Lawrence Paul, the chairman of Andoni LGA who invaded service of the originating processes after two attempts by bailiffs.

“The Appeal Tribunal ordered that the originating processes be served on the 1st Respondent by substituted means. i.e., posting it on the last known address of the first Respondent.”

The 1st Appellant/Applicant Hon. Luke Gospel Luke said that he is hopeful that Justice will be done in the matter.

The matter has been adjourned to today, 14th December, 2018 for motion.
