Rivers PDP raises alarm over alleged plan to attack Obuah, APC denies claim

The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has raised alarm over alleged moves by suspected hoodlums to attack its Chairman, Felix Obuah.

The PDP alleged that the plan was to attack investments owned by Obuah in Omoku, the headquarters of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local government area.

The party in a statement by Special Adviser to the Chairman on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam pointed accusing fingers on the Chairman of the APC in the state, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree.

“Startling revelations of surreptitious moves by some faceless political detractors suspected to be members of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State under the factional leadership of Ojukaye Flag Amachree plotting to dynamite spotted investments of the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah around the Go-Round Community in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the State have been uncovered.

“Information available also reveals a conspiracy between these satanic agents and some paid security agents to provide the necessary cover while they carry out the attack.

“The cat was let out of the bag when the masterminds whose names will be made public soon approached one of the hatchmen for the sinister job, not knowing that he had already withdrawn from such evil and who pensively divulged all the plans with striking evidence and particulars of the plotters.

“Shockingly, the devil incarnates also planned to fly a kite after carrying out their plot, alleging that the unholy mission was masterminded by aggrieved ‘boys’ of Bro Obuah in protest to using and dumping them,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Chapter of the APC has denied the allegations.

The APC in a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone said, “Ordinarily, we should ignore such nonsensical accusation from the declining PDP in Rivers State but there is need to let the public and security agencies be on the watch out for possible internal wrangling that may erupt within the PDP.

“This is informed by the fact that it has become a pattern by the PDP to pre-empt internal revolt within their party whenever their abandoned followers and hoodlums who killed and maimed citizens for them during the last general elections but abandoned in the past 3 years challenge them for reward.

“The alarm is deliberately twisted to cover up the real facts about the revolt by PDP thugs.

“PDP and Felix Obuah know that despite the death of their enforcer in ONELGA, Don Wanny, they must retrieve the cup with which they served water to the monkey. Unfortunately, they have found it a daunting task.

“Felix Obuah and the PDP must serve out the punishment by their guilty conscience while awaiting the ultimate punishment by Almighty God for their atrocities in Orashi region.”
