Dead body found along New road, Rumuola

The body of a young man tied inside a bag has been found along the Rumuola new road axis of Port Harcourt.

According to eye witness report, the body was thrown inside the water but was later brought out by by-standers.

One of the eye witnesses also said it was not the first time such an unpleasant sight will be seen along that road as dead bodies have been found in that area twice.

“There is hardly a time you will follow this route and won’t perceive strong stench of a dead body in this water close to the police post. The policemen only come out in the morning to block cab drivers and collect money from them but when it comes to doing their job in protecting lives and properties, they won’t be found.

Please the state government needs to do something about the poor security in this state. People residing here are no longer feeling safe.” He said.
