The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) have signed a partnership to accelerate Nigeria’s digital economy through investment, technology adoption and enterprise development.
Under the agreement, NACCIMA will serve as a private-sector investment pipeline and help connect NITDA-backed startups with corporate buyers, investors and commercial opportunities.
NITDA Director-General, Kashifu Abdullahi, said the partnership would link government technology initiatives with private-sector demand, giving indigenous startups access to capital and sustainable business contracts.
The agreement includes three major initiatives, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding and the establishment of a joint technical working group co-chaired by NITDA’s Director of Special Duties, Dr Aristotle Onume, and NACCIMA’s National Digital Economy Coordinator, Dr Segun Olugbile.
The first initiative will see NACCIMA mobilise private-sector participation in the Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition 2026, scheduled for November 10 to 12 in Abuja.

Activities will include business-to-business deal rooms, investor engagement, and connections between startups and companies in manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, and services.
The second initiative aims to equip 10,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory with artificial intelligence tools, digital skills, financial readiness and improved market access.
The partners will also introduce a digital trust mark platform to verify businesses and promote compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and cybersecurity standards, including along regional trade corridors under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
NACCIMA National President, Jani Ibrahim, said the alliance would help industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, trade and mining adopt innovative digital solutions and improve productivity.
The joint technical working group is finalising plans for the enterprise pipeline, investment deal rooms and programme launches ahead of the Abuja conference.
Startups, investors, technology vendors and businesses interested in the initiatives are expected to obtain registration updates through NACCIMA’s Digital Economy Desk and NITDA’s official portals.
