MTN Nigeria has confirmed a network disruption affecting some subscribers in Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, and Delta states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The telecommunications company disclosed this in a statement posted on its official X account on Thursday, warning that customers in the affected areas might experience temporary difficulties accessing its services.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result,” the company stated.
MTN said its technical team was working to resolve the disruption and restore services as quickly as possible.
In a follow-up message, the company apologised to affected customers and appealed for their patience while efforts to address the problem continued.
“Dear Customer, we are aware that some of our customers are having challenges using our services. Our engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” MTN said.
The company did not disclose the cause of the disruption or specify when normal services would be fully restored.
