The University of Port Harcourt has announced that, following a decision by its Governing Council, demolition of all illegal structures on university premises will begin on Monday, October 5, 2026.
All individuals occupying or owning such structures have been advised to remove their belongings and vacate the affected premises before the exercise commences.
The university said the move is aimed at restoring order, ensuring compliance with its regulations on premises usage, and maintaining a safe, conducive environment for the campus community.
The institution is urging all concerned parties to comply with the directive and cooperate with university authorities to ensure the exercise proceeds smoothly.
