Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe retained his celebrity boxing title after defeating rapper Speed Darlington in Lagos.
The highly anticipated bout took place on Thursday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, during the latest edition of the Chaos in the Ring event.
Both entertainers exchanged punches across four rounds in front of an excited crowd.
At the end of the contest, the judges awarded Carter Efe victory by unanimous decision.
The organisers confirmed the result after announcing the judges’ scorecards.
“After four rounds of action, we go through the judges’ scorecard. Your winner by unanimous decision and still celebrity champion is Carter Efe,” the organisers announced.
The victory extends Carter Efe’s reign as celebrity boxing champion and adds another win to his growing record in the entertainment boxing scene.
Speed Darlington entered the contest determined to claim the title, but he was unable to convince the judges despite a spirited performance.
The fight was one of the headline attractions at the Chaos in the Ring event, which has continued to draw attention by matching celebrities and entertainers inside the boxing ring.
With the victory, Carter Efe remains the celebrity boxing champion and further strengthens his status as one of the leading figures in Nigeria’s growing celebrity boxing movement.
