The atmosphere in the Big Brother Naija house shifted on Day 64 as Biggie reminded the remaining housemates that the grand finale was fast approaching, ushering them into a day of heightened preparations, rehearsals, and competition.
The day began with the usual workout and morning chores before Biggie instructed the finalists to maintain a polished appearance throughout the day and dress appropriately for their status as finalists.
Morning chores and breakfast
Following their workout in the Lounge, the housemates got to work on their assigned chores.
Sheba did her laundry, while Ricky ironed clothes in the Closet area. Keivo, the current Head of House, swept the house, while Barry cleaned the stove.
During the morning routine, Keivo teased Ricky about his relationship with Sheba, asking whether she was “his Sheba.” Ricky responded that although he liked Sheba, he simply considered her “his guy.”
By 9:00 a.m., Sheba was preparing breakfast for the housemates. She initially considered making rice before opting for pasta instead. Barry, Aikou and Keivo later joined her at the Wall of Fame for breakfast.
A conversation between Keivo and Ricky also touched on money and competition. Ricky clarified that he had never said he did not want the prize money, explaining that he simply would not “bend over” for it.
Biggie announces finalist dress code
At 11:00 a.m., Keivo gathered the housemates in the Lounge for a special announcement from Biggie.
With the grand finale approaching, Biggie instructed the finalists to ensure they were properly dressed and well-groomed every morning and throughout the day for the remainder of the week.
The announcement appeared to underline the significance of the final days in the competition, with Sheba later noting Biggie’s greeting of the housemates as “Hello, top 10.”
Meanwhile, the housemates continued with their individual activities. Flora counted her BB Bucks and joked about what she could purchase with them, while she also began rehearsing an original song with Tram, Keivo and Oyin involved in different supporting roles.
Rehearsals take centre stage
The afternoon saw several housemates preparing for performances.
Flora previewed her original song for Oyin in the Garden, but Oyin encouraged her to continue rehearsing with Temi Nkem while she focused on her own presentation.
Flora and Temi Nkem later rehearsed in the Main Lounge, with Temi Nkem teasing that the other housemates did not know what was coming. Tram applauded the performance, although Sheba joked that he might be the only person doing so.
Temi Nkem also worked on a monologue and approached Barry for ideas on how to create an emotional performance. She explained that she wanted to incorporate tears into the act and was looking for a compelling subject.
Barry later rehearsed his own monologue at the Wall of Fame, while Temi Nkem continued working on her play in the Garden.
Housemates revisit the Gambit mystery
As preparations continued, conversations turned to the identity of the Gambit.
Bluethopia told Flora that she had previously suspected her of being the Gambit, citing Flora’s emotional reaction after leaving the Diary Room. Flora explained that she had been dealing with a personal issue at the time.
The housemates also discussed Flora’s behaviour during previous Gambit-related conversations. Sheba pointed to what she described as Flora’s reluctance to participate in some of the discussions, while Flora rejected suggestions that her behaviour indicated she was hiding something.
The conversation also touched on the return of the Gambit wrappers and Flora’s decision not to fight for hers. Sheba suggested there was a deeper reason behind Flora’s actions but said she would reveal it on the final day.
Flora maintained that she had moved on, while Bluethopia noted that she had often appeared to support other housemates’ chances of winning.
With only five days remaining, the discussion ended with Temi Nkem raising another possibility: that Sheba herself could have been the Gambit.
Head of House Challenge begins
At 2:00 p.m., Biggie instructed the housemates to change and prepare for the Head of House Challenge.
The challenge was designed as a mixture of familiar games, allowing the remaining housemates to revisit activities that some evicted contestants had previously experienced and allowing others to redeem themselves.
Each housemate was given 15 minutes to compete across five activities. Four of the games awarded points, with the housemate who accumulated the highest score set to be crowned the next Head of House.
The challenge opened with a ping-pong activity, where contestants had to bounce a ball off a small table and into one of several crates to unlock the first game.
The remaining activities included The Floating Trip, Balance, Wheely Wheely and Double Pocket.
Although housemates were allowed to skip a particularly difficult activity, they were required to attempt all the games.
Keivo was the first to take on the challenge but was buzzed out during Game 4, setting the stage for what promised to be a closely contested battle for the Head of House title.
