Chief Hon. Marcus Nle Ejii, KSC, DSSRS, presided over an empowerment ceremony yesterday organised by Hon. Felix Nweake, the member representing Eleme, Tai and Oyigbo Federal Constituency. The event was aimed at providing support to constituents across the federal constituency.
Held at the Oyigbo Council Secretariat, the programme featured the presentation of buses, trucks, tricycles, sewing machines and grinding machines to beneficiaries. The items were handed out to help recipients boost their economic activities, strengthen small-scale businesses and improve their livelihoods.
Amb. Desmond Akawor, DSSRS, attended as Special Guest of Honour, and the ceremony drew political leaders, community stakeholders, constituents and other dignitaries. The initiative was presented as an effort to promote grassroots empowerment through practical, livelihood-focused support.
