Week eight’s Live eviction show delivered one of the season’s toughest nights yet, with three housemates shown the door in quick succession.
Yusuf exits first
The evening opened with an immediate eviction as Ebuka announced Yusuf’s name at the beginning of the show, then came some table shaking with Ebuka putting HoH Barry on the spot, pressing him on his pattern of being the ladies’ go-to shoulder to lean on, first Godessa, then Temi Nkem. Barry pushed back on the “second option” framing, insisting that even if they wanted him, he doesn’t want them.
While on stage and visibly shocked, Yusuf admitted, “It stinks right now” when talking about his eviction. Pressed on his ship with Bells, Yusuf was open about liking her, while he can’t state what happens next for them; he’s open to what will happen when she is out. On the game itself, he was candid about struggling in the Arena, calling it his “boogeyman,” and confirmed his post-show plans are all about returning to acting.
Before the drama continued, Biggie announced this week’s Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW): Kevo. His win secured him BBbucks, and after a wheel spin, he won wireless headphones.
Bells leaves
The next Show Ya Sef housemate to leave was Bells. Bells didn’t hold back on her feelings for Yusuf on stage with Ebuka, confirming there was love there and revealing the moment it clicked for her was during a three-day fight when she realised how much she missed him, even hinting a wedding might not be far off.
On friendships in the House, she named only Ricky and Abi as genuine connections. Outside the House, Bell says she’s heading back to finish her education and become a certified chief radiographer.
The love triangle takes centre stage
With two evictions down, Ebuka turned his attention to the Keivo, Bluethopia and Chimsom Chuka triangle. Keivo confirmed he and Temi Nkem are strictly friends, while he declared he likes Bluethopia and is actively pursuing her. Additionally, he shrugged off any obligation to Chimsom Chuka’s feelings, stating, “That’s his business.” Bluethopia, for her part, stayed diplomatic: both men are her friends, and “may the best man win.”
Chimsom Chuka bows out
The final shock of the night saw Chimsom Chuka’s eviction, a result that caught him and the housemates, especially Bluethopia and Sheba, off guard. When asked about leaving Keivo and Bluethopia in the house without him, he kept things measured, calling Bluethopia “a beautiful girl” while insisting that if he pursued anything romantic with Bluethopia outside the house, it would stay private. Looking ahead, Chimsom Chuka said his priority now is family alongside getting back to acting.
