The Rivers State Government is today commissioning the remodeled Bonny National Grammar School in Bonny Local Government Area of the state, as part of efforts to improve learning facilities and strengthen education across the state.
The commissioning ceremony took place at 11 a.m. at the school premises in Bonny. The project was undertaken by the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara as part of its investment in educational infrastructure and efforts to provide students with a more conducive environment for learning.

The remodeling of the school is expected to enhance teaching and learning while providing improved facilities for students, teachers, and other members of the school community.

The Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Perekule XI, is the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony.
Government officials, community leaders, education stakeholders and other guests are also expected to attend the event.

The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Dagogo S. A. Wokoma, who signed the announcement, said investment in the people is crucial to achieving a brighter and more prosperous future.
He added that developing human capacity through quality education remains an important part of the state’s development agenda.
