The high-profile hip-hop rivalry between Nigerian rappers Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck has officially left the recording studio and entered the courtroom.
In an explosive new interview, Blaqbonez has said that he is filing a criminal motion against Odumodublvck following unsubstantiated allegations of sexual assault against him in the course of their ongoing public trial.
While rap rivalries mechanically serve as sharp personal jabs, Blaqbonez stressed that weaponizing serious criminal charges crosses a criminal and moral line that can’t be ignored as mere lyrical banter.
Addressing the controversy publicly, Blaqbonez discovered that although he previously ignored the internet drama and failed in his ideas of gambling the “horror man” in music wars, the nature of Odumodublack’s current claims made him not use the option but to quit and join his prison band.
“I’m taking him to court. So come to court and prove that I’m what you say I am,” Blaqbonez stated firmly during the interview.
The rapper insisted that the crooked allegations bring real-world consequences, stressing that he would not allow social media clout to taint his person.
“In the history of man, I don’t think any person has ever done this to any other man,” Blaqbonez said. “I don’t usually worry about being the bad guy, but when you say sexual assault, now that’s not a tag that I would make a joke about.”
