‎Osimhen Reportedly Threatens Galatasaray Exit Over Unpaid Salaries

‎Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly threatened to leave Turkish champions Galatasaray after allegedly going unpaid for three months, raising fresh concerns over the club’s financial situation ahead of the new season.

‎According to reports from Turkish media, the Nigerian international has expressed frustration over the delayed payment of his wages and warned that he could walk away from the club if the issue is not resolved promptly.

The development has sparked widespread debate among fans and football observers, given Osimhen’s importance to Galatasaray.

‎Osimhen, who joined the Istanbul-based side on a permanent transfer in 2025, has been one of the club’s standout performers, scoring crucial goals in domestic and European competitions.

His prolific form has made him a fan favourite and a central figure in Galatasaray’s recent successes.

‎The reports claim that the 27-year-old is unhappy with the alleged salary arrears and could consider escalating the matter if the situation persists.

Some reports suggest the striker may even seek intervention through FIFA’s dispute resolution mechanisms should the club fail to meet its contractual obligations.

‎However, Galatasaray have previously denied claims of widespread salary delays involving members of the squad, insisting that reports of a financial crisis at the club are inaccurate.

Club officials have maintained that any payment-related issues were administrative rather than an indication of deeper financial problems.

‎The latest reports come at a time when Osimhen continues to attract interest from several top European clubs, with his future remaining a subject of intense speculation during the transfer window.

Despite the rumours, neither the player nor Galatasaray has released an official statement confirming that he intends to terminate his stay at the club.

‎For now, the situation remains unresolved, and football followers will be watching closely to see whether Galatasaray can settle the reported dispute and retain one of the most prolific strikers in European football.
