The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, said candidates who participated in the examination can now check their results through the board’s approved result-checking channels.
Benjamin stated that with the release of the mop-up results, the board will proceed with the ranking of candidates as part of the admission process. He added that candidates would be able to obtain their result slips needed for admission processing before the end of the week.

He expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, and other stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation throughout the examination period.
The mop-up examination, held on June 13, 2026, was organised for candidates who had been cleared during the main UTME registration process but were unable to take the examination due to technical issues, biometric verification challenges, or other difficulties experienced at their examination centres.
JAMB noted that the exercise was intended to ensure that affected candidates were given a fair opportunity to sit for the examination after missing the main UTME, which took place between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
