Galaxy Backbone, Simba Infrastructure Partner To Expand Digital Communication Solutions Nationwide

Galaxy Backbone Limited and Simba Infrastructure Limited have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at improving communication and digital service delivery across Nigeria through the deployment of advanced hosted communication solutions.

The agreement will see both companies provide Hosted Unified Communications (UC) and Hosted Call Centre solutions to organisations in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, targeting both government institutions and private businesses.

According to the companies, the initiative is expected to simplify communication processes, improve customer engagement, and strengthen interactions between government agencies, businesses, and citizens.

In a statement issued by Galaxy Backbone’s Public Affairs Department, the collaboration was described as a major step toward supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda by combining the strengths of both organisations.

The statement explained that Simba Infrastructure would contribute its expertise in converged communication technologies, systems integration, and enterprise solutions, while Galaxy Backbone would provide its extensive digital infrastructure and government network.

Galaxy Backbone currently operates Tier III and Tier IV data centres alongside a fibre-optic network that spans 30 states and the FCT, making it one of the country’s key ICT infrastructure providers.

Under the arrangement, Simba Infrastructure will focus primarily on driving adoption within the private sector by offering communication systems tailored to business needs, while Galaxy Backbone will oversee implementation within the public sector through secure, locally hosted digital services.

The companies said the solutions are designed to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective communication systems capable of improving operational efficiency for organisations nationwide.

Speaking on the partnership, Director at Simba Infrastructure, Sanjay Vaswani, described the agreement as the beginning of a broader long-term vision focused on deploying fully localised and AI-powered technologies in Nigeria.

According to him, the initiative will eventually support developers and organisations with locally accessible technology solutions that operate within the Nigerian financial ecosystem.

Also speaking, Head of Profit Centre at Simba Infrastructure, Aminu Usman, said the collaboration represents an important milestone in the company’s effort to provide innovative cloud-based communication services to Nigerian businesses and institutions.

He noted that combining Galaxy Backbone’s infrastructure capacity with Simba Infrastructure’s customer-focused technological expertise would help accelerate digital transformation and support business growth across different sectors.

On his part, General Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Regional Business at Galaxy Backbone, Abdul-Malik Suleiman, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to promoting digital inclusion and secure communication systems nationwide.

He said the partnership would strengthen Galaxy Backbone’s ability to provide reliable, locally hosted Unified Communications and Call Centre solutions for both public and private sector organisations.

Suleiman added that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment by both companies to support Nigeria’s digital economy by helping organisations improve communication, collaboration, and customer experience while ensuring sensitive data remains securely hosted within the country.
