The Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle wants Nigeria Premier Football League stars to learn his tactics if they want to be in his team for a long time. The franco Malian tactician is in London getting the national team ready for their Unity Cup match against Zimbabwe.
Eric Chelle thinks the Nigerian Premier football League players are good, he really likes Ikorodu City midfielder Tosin Oyedokun,— he played well and scored four goals and had three assists in 32 league games.
The coach said “Some of the players are really good with the ball, like Tosin Oyedokun who plays for Ikorodu City.” He also said “But the important thing is that they need to understand what we want for the Super Eagles team.”
The Super Eagles coach thinks this tournament is a chance to see how good the players from the Nigeria Premier Football League are, this is because European clubs do not have to let their players go to the team unless it is, during official FIFA times.
The Super Eagles coach told the players that it is not easy to get used to playing football with only two training sessions, he wants them to be brave and play with a lot of energy and motivation. Eric Chelle said “You are playing for Nigeria so you should not be scared you just have to give your best on the field.”
He told the players that making mistakes is a part of football, he wants them to stay strong and be ready to do their best, many players have arrived in London, including Francis Uzoho, Chibuike Nwaiwu and Rafiu Durosinmi, and now the Super Eagles team has 17 players available in Camp, and the Super Eagles will play against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, May 26 to start defending their Unity Cup title.
