The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Taminu Turaki has dared the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, to demolish the building they are using as the party’s secretariat.
Speaking on Thursday 7 May, a chieftain of the PDP faction, Umar Sani, said that Wike is fully aware of the office located in the Area 10 vicinity of Abuja, and dared the FCT Minister to demolish the building as threatened.
It could be recalled that Wike had on Wednesday, during his monthly media chat, threatened to seal off any house in Abuja that is used as the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the faction led by Taminu Turaki.
Wike also warned that any bank that allows the Turaki-led PDP to open an account for the sale of nomination forms for the 2027 election will be in trouble.
According to him, any attempt by the Turaki faction to sell form to any aspirant for the 2027 polls will amount to duping Nigerians.Wike boasted that any day Turaki opens a bank account for the PDP under the current circumstances, he will be derobed as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
However, Sani, who spoke on the matter on Thursday during a Television interview alleged that the Wike-led PDP is selling nomination forms for cash, and if they are using PDP bank accounts, it will come directly to them.
He noted that the Adolphus Wabara-led PDP Board of Trustees (BOT) has custody of the PDP documents of incorporation, not the Wike-led PDP.“We have an office that we are running, and it is in Area 10 (Abuja). Wike knows the office, let him come and demolish it,” he said.
