Senator Oluremi Tinubu Affirms Government’s Commitment to Sports Development

SENATOR Oluremi Tinubu has reaffirmed that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully committed to the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.

She made this known during the closing ceremony of the 3rd National Para Games held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, where she praised the efforts of the National Sports Commission in organizing an inclusive competition.

Represented by Nana Kashim Shettima, the First Lady commended participating athletes for their resilience, discipline, and determination, describing all competitors as winners regardless of medal outcomes.

She also lauded the chairman of the NSC, Shehu Dikko, for successfully delivering a competition that catered to physically challenged athletes, assuring that the government would continue to prioritize inclusivity in sports.

“This government is committed to every Nigerian. No one is left behind in the renewed hope agenda,” she stated, emphasizing that sports development remains a key part of the administration’s broader national objectives.

In terms of results, Enugu State emerged overall winners with an impressive medal haul, finishing ahead of Bayelsa State and Edo State, who placed second and third respectively.

Rivers State and Lagos State completed the top five standings.

The event highlighted not only athletic excellence but also the growing emphasis on inclusivity and development within Nigeria’s sporting landscape.
