The Executive Director, Finance and Administration at the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Boma Iyaye says reports suggesting that he has been endorsed as the preferred candidate by the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike are false.
In a statement by Chief Iyaye,the reports are not accurate and they also do not reflect the true position of things as he is working collaboratively with the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission and stakeholders of the Commission to advance its mandate of sustainable development in the Niger Delta region.
“My attention has been drawn to reports circulating on social media suggesting that I have declared an ambition for the office of the Governor of Rivers State, I wish to respectfully clarify that these reports are inaccurate and do not reflect the true position.”

Chief Iyaye while reiterating his commitment towards discharging his duties as the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) noted that he has not made any formal declaration regarding a governorship ambition under any guise.
“At this time, my full attention and commitment remain focused on my responsibilities as the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).” “For the avoidance of doubt, I have not made any formal declaration regarding a governorship ambition, nor have I received any endorsement from the Honourable Minister or any other individual as being suggested.”
The NDDC EDFA while pledging his loyalty to the Minister of the FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike also expressed deep appreciation for his leadership and contributions to public service.He urged members of the public and media to rely on verified information and disregard every contrary report as they do not emanate from him.
