Victor Osimhen has disclosed his intention to make significant investments in football.
The Super Eagles striker is well-known for his substantial investments in real estate both in Nigeria and abroad, and he has now declared his plan to also invest in the sport that has brought him wealth and fame.
In a livestream with Carter Efe, the 27-year-old Osimhen stated his intention to acquire the Turkish second division club Istanbulspor.
Additionally, he plans to establish a Nigerian branch of this club in the NPFL, which will serve as a platform for promising local talents to transition to Istanbulspor.
Osimhen currently holds the title of the highest-paid football star, earning an annual salary of 21 million euros.
In a different context, the Super Eagles’ star striker, Victor Osimhen, has expressed his belief that he was always meant for success and financial abundance, regardless of his remarkable football career.
During a recent livestream with Carter Efe, the Galatasaray forward shared his strong conviction in his innate drive and work ethic from an early age.
”The sheer grit and determination I exhibited while rising from the ‘trenches’ indicated that even if football had not panned out, I would have still accumulated considerable wealth,” Osimhen articulated.
“I was extremely focused, hardworking, and passionate. I took on various manual jobs and never hesitated to seize any legitimate opportunity to earn money.”
Osimhen identified his pivotal moment as his loan transfer to Belgian club Charleroi from VfL Wolfsburg in 2018.
He recounted the initial rejections he faced in Belgium, saying, “I was rejected by two clubs in Belgium.
With only three days remaining in the transfer window, Charleroi intervened and made it happen. That was the significant turning point.”
When Carter Efe inquired whether he surpasses Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido in terms of wealth, Osimhen chose not to respond directly.
However, he praised the musicians for their outstanding role as cultural ambassadors for Nigeria on the global stage.
