Some aggrieved students of the University of Port Harcourt who filed a suit in court over the failure of the management of the University to clear them and allow them to graduate, have gotten a date in court.
It will be recalled that the management of the University of Port Harcourt under the leadership of Prof N.E.S Lale, in 2017, implemented a policy which sees a late payment of tuition fees translate to repeating an academic session. The policy has stopped so many students from graduating.
Justice Eti Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt has fixed August 10, 2018, to hear the Suit filed by the aggrieved students.
Counsel to the aggrieved students, Kingdom Chukwu Eze told theportcitynews.com that with the matter ready for hearing, he is optimistic that the students will get justice.
