Davido, Burnaboy Leads Nigerians In Grammy Nominations.

The Recording Academy on Friday, November 7, 2025, unveiled the nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, with top Nigerian artistes earning major nods across key global categories.

‎Leading the pack are Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and Omah Lay, who all secured nominations in the Best African Music Performance category. Davido’s hit track “With You” featuring Omah Lay is nominated alongside Burna Boy’s “Love” and Ayra Starr’s “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid.

‎Other contenders in the same category include Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin with “Hope & Love”, and South Africa’s Tyla with “PUSH 2 START.”

‎Burna Boy further extended his Grammy legacy with another nomination in the Best Global Music Album category for his latest body of work, “No Sign of Weakness.” He faces stiff competition from African legend Youssou N’Dour (“Eclairer le Monde – Light the World”), Beninese icon Angélique Kidjo (“Jerusalema”), and Indian sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar (“Chapter III: We Return to Light”).

‎The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. It will honour recordings released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025.

‎This edition also introduces two new categories, Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover, marking another evolution in the prestigious awards’ long-standing history.
