Davido Announces Nigeria Tour

King of Afrobeats David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has thrilled fans with the announcement that his 5ive Tour is making its long-awaited return to Nigeria. The global superstar shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, confirming that he will be performing in several major cities including Uyo, Yola, Enugu, Ibadan, and Lagos.

According to the schedule, the Nigerian leg of the tour will begin on October 26 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, before moving to Yola, Adamawa, on October 29, and Enugu on November 1. The tour will then continue to Ibadan on November 9, before wrapping up with a highly anticipated Christmas Day concert in Lagos on December 25.

Davido, who recently concluded a sold-out North American tour, expressed deep excitement about bringing the show back home. Describing the Nigerian edition as “special” and “personal,” he said performing in his home country holds a unique meaning.

“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go — Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home. After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began,” Davido wrote.

He continued, “My 5ive Tour Nigeria — y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”

The 5ive Tour Nigeria comes on the heels of Davido’s critically acclaimed shows across the United States and Canada, where he mesmerized fans with energetic performances of chart-topping hits from his Grammy-nominated album, Timeless. As anticipation builds, fans across Nigeria eagerly await what promises to be a historic celebration of music, culture, and homegrown talent.
