The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Sir Chidi Lloyd, DSSRS, on Friday, October 10, 2025, announced the appointment of a new Revenue Committee to enhance the council’s revenue generation and ensure transparency in its collection process.
According to an official statement issued by the Executive Assistant and Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Bright Jossy-Elendu, the committee will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising all revenue-related activities within the local government area.
The newly appointed members include Dr. Jim Morrison (Chairman), Barrister Peter Ugari (Secretary), Barrister Azundah Onyekwere, Sunny Amadiekwe, Stanley Chimezie Ordu, Victor Benjamin, Gentle Woke, ThankGod Chukwume, and Kingsley Achinike Iregbu.

The statement emphasized that the appointees are the only persons authorized to collect revenue on behalf of the Emohua Local Government Council. It therefore advised residents, traders, and all taxable business operators within the local government area to take note and cooperate with the committee.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, are part of the council’s efforts to strengthen its internally generated revenue framework and promote accountability in financial administration.
