The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the results for the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), showing that 60.26 per cent of candidates achieved five or more credits, including English and mathematics.
During the announcement made on Wednesday, at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger state, NECO Registrar Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi revealed that 818,492 candidates met the required criteria.
He also mentioned that 1,144,496 candidates, which accounts for 84.26 per cent, earned five credits and above, regardless of their performance in English and Mathematics.

Wushishi reported that 1,367,210 candidates were registered for the examination, consisting of 685,514 males and 681,696 females.
He noted that 1,358,339 candidates actually took the exam, with 680,292 being males and 678,047 being females.
