Fayemi’s victory a sign that Wike’s days are numbered – Dakuku

The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime And Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside, has stated that the victory of the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ekiti is a sign that the days of the Nyesom Wike’s administration are numbered.

The All Progressives Congress candidate, Kayode Fayemi, was victorious in 11 out of the 16 local government areas of the state, polling 197,459 votes, and edging out his closest rival Olusola who got 178,121 votes by 19,338 votes.

Dakuku in a statement on Twitter wrote: “I wish to congratulate members of @APCNigeria for the victory of our party in Ekiti state governorship election. This victory is catalytic and has the multiplier effect of propelling our party to so many other victories.

” With the resounding victory of @kfayemi the Nigerian political space will be free of the pollution of the likes of @GovAyoFayose.

” It is a time for sober reflection for us in Rivers APC! The Ekiti victory is particularly significant for APC Rivers state. It sends a strong signal that a nonperforming Governor like Wike has his days in government house #BrickHouse numbered.

” It also shows what can be accomplished where there is unity of purpose and where a team is committed. As we celebrate the victory of Ekiti @APCNigeria let us know that Ekiti people are also waiting to celebrate our own victory in Rivers State & they deserve it.” the statement read.
