‎Huawei and T2 Partner to Improve Core Network Infrastructure

T2, Nigeria’s telecommunications operator, has entered into a significant strategic partnership with Huawei, a global frontrunner in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), aimed at modernising its core network infrastructure.

‎Recently, a high-level signing ceremony took place in Lagos, where senior executives from both organisations convened to celebrate the commencement of this transformative journey.

‎Representing T2 were Chief Executive Officer Obafemi Banigbe, Chief Operating Officer John Vasikaran, Chief Technical & Information Officer Ayodeji Adedeji, Vice President of Corporate Services Ifeloju Alakija, and Vice President of Brands and Communication Seni Ogunkola.

‎During the signing ceremony, Banigbe remarked: “This agreement transcends a mere contract — it serves as a catalyst.

‎In alignment with Banigbe’s vision, Jiang Junyong, CEO of Huawei Nigeria Carrier Business, highlighted the strength of the partnership, expressing Huawei’s pride in supporting T2’s ambitious transformation journey.

‎”This collaboration embodies our joint commitment to innovation and excellence. We are introducing world-class solutions to assist T2 in constructing a robust, high-performance core network that will facilitate next-generation services and sustainable growth,” Junyong stated.
