Burna Boy’s Parents Celebrate 35th Anniversary

In a celebration that holds special significance for them as people of Rivers State, the parents of Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, Samuel and Bose Ogulu, mark their 35th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, September 2. The couple, who tied the knot in Port Harcourt back in 1990, have been a pillar of support for their children and a remarkable example of a long-standing union in the Nigerian entertainment landscape.

According to the report, Bose Ogulu, who also serves as the manager for the globally recognised music star, took to social media to celebrate the milestone. In a heartfelt post, she expressed gratitude to God for sustaining their marriage through the decades. “Thanking God for 35 years since we each said ‘I do’ and ‘Till death do us part.’ Thanking God for the journey, the roller coaster ride, and the joy of watching the three musketeers we have been appointed caretakers of. Happy anniversary to us,” she wrote, sharing a personal glimpse into their enduring bond.

For the people of Port Harcourt, the anniversary is a proud moment, as it highlights the city’s role in the personal story of one of the world’s biggest music exports. The fact that the couple’s foundation was laid in the Garden City adds a special layer of connection, making their journey relatable and inspiring to the local audience. Their union has produced not only a global music icon but also a powerful family unit that operates at the highest levels of the international music industry.
