‎Atalanta Bounce Lookman’s Bundesliga Loan Deal

Reports from various sources indicate that Bayern Munich attempted to acquire Ademola Lookman on August 31, but their offer was swiftly rejected, with Tottenham and Galatasaray also expressing interest.

‎The Athletic was the first to report that the Bundesliga club reached out to Atalanta regarding Lookman, suggesting a paid loan with a buy option at the season’s end.

‎This proposal was deemed completely unacceptable by La Dea, as reported by Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Sportitalia, and others, who stated that it was promptly declined.

‎Atalanta is only willing to consider a permanent transfer for the Nigerian international.

‎The proposed fee of €28 million for the buy option is viewed as significantly too low, given his market value of €50 million. However, there may still be hope for Atalanta and Lookman, as Sky Sports Germany reports that both Tottenham Hotspur and Galatasaray are interested and may be willing to purchase him outright.

‎Atalanta assured Lookman that he could be sold this summer, but only to a club outside of Italy, which is why they rejected Inter’s proposal of €42 million plus a €3 million bonus.

‎Since returning from a brief absence where he went AWOL in protest, he has been training separately.

‎Bayern Munich now finds itself in urgent need of a new striker following the tumultuous situation with Nicolas Jackson, who arrived in Germany for a medical last night only to be instructed to return to Chelsea.

‎This was intended to be a loan with an option to buy, which was cancelled due to Liam Delap suffering a hamstring injury.
